Dr. Alexander Weingarten

Dr. Alexander Weingarten is Co-Director of Comprehensive Pain Management Associates, practicing for three decades. He is Board Certified in Anesthesiology and has been elected as a Fellow of the American Academy of Pain Medicine. In addition he has met the requirements for the American Board of Anesthesiology subspecialty certification in Pain Management. Dr. Weingarten engages in all modalities of pain management with expertise in implantable technologies (morphine pump and spinal cord stimulators), fluoroscopic guided needle placement, radiofrequency ablation, percutaneous laser discectomy, epiduralysis and reflex sympathetic dystrophy. He is an attending anesthesiologist at North Shore LIJ Health Systems at Syosset Hospital and Day-Op Center of Long Island. He is a member of the anesthesia department of Nassau University Medical Center, and trains resident physicians in pain management. Dr. Weingarten recently co-authored a chapter entitled “The Pathophysiology of Pain as part of a text entitled Proving Pain and Suffering.
