Dr. Robert Duarte

Dr. Robert Duarte is the Director of the Pain Center at the Cushing Neuroscience Institute at North Shore LIJ in Great Neck. He is Board Certified in Neurology, Pain Medicine, and Headache Medicine. Dr. Duarte’s special interests are pain, headache, concussion and medical acupuncture. After completing medical school at Ponce School of Medicine and an internship in Internal Medicine at Nassau University Medical Center, he completed his residency in Neurology and a fellowship in Pain and Headache Management. Dr. Duarte is an active member in the American Headache Society and The American Academy of Neurology. He serves on the Admissions Committee for Hofstra North Shore LIJ School of Medicine.

To advance the art and science of pain medicine by promoting and maintaining the highest standards of professional practice through education and research; by aiding and encouraging the education of medical students, residents, fellows, practicing physicians, and other health care providers in Pain Management and by obtaining and publishing scientific information in Pain Medicine and management.
